Dear Agony Aunt

One of my school friends has head lice, you can see them moving around when you sit near her.

What do I say?
I really like her but I don't want to catch them as well, my mum says I should stop seeing her, but that's not fair is it?

Please help me

You should be commended on your loyalty to your friend, she is lucky to have someone who thinks of her well being.

She must know she has head lice, are her parents not doing anything about it?
Ask her to go see the school nurse if her parents aren't helping her.

If you go to Head Louse treatment and maybe direct her there as well you will find lots of information about the symptons and treatment of a head louse infestation.

While being a good friend I would advise you not to share combs or brushes with your friend.
