You just say you like him but are only ready for friendship. If he's nice, he'll understand& won't pressure you. If not, let it go.

If you really like this boy but don't want a boyfriend until after your SAT’s; why not tell him that you want to focus on your exams before you get a boyfriend, but make sure you tell him that you really like him. I am sure he will understand and therefore you will still be friends and still might have a chance to be his girlfriend.
